General Volunteer

BAM Jam volunteers are an important function of the tournament and there are all kinds of volunteer opportunities available to you. It is a great way to be involved in one of the funnest events in Boise, Idaho! Below you will find several different functions along with time slots that are available.

Each volunteer position has various benefits. All General Volunteers are considered Level 1 and Level 2 positions. Court Monitors are a Level 3 position. Click here to see a table of benefits.

Please verify your t-shirt information and the positions that you choose before you submit. Once we get closer to the event, we'll contact you regarding training and check-in information. These positions are all in Boise, Idaho or surrounding areas.

  • Court Monitor

    This is a Level 3 position: Volunteer Benefits

    Be a part of a very crucial area of the event. Click here to sign up to be a court monitor.

  • General Needs

    This is a Level 1 position: Volunteer Benefits

    Job Description: The general needs volunteer will help with a variety of jobs: check in other volunteers, support the Court Monitors by delivering water and snacks, you may occasionally fill in for them so that they can get off their feet and/or take a bathroom break. General needs volunteers will also help answer general questions, attend to the VIP area and help supplement the Environmental Crew as needed. Ages 16 and up. What to Expect: This volunteer needs to be flexible and willing to jump in where needed. You could be either sitting or standing/walking. Check in with Colby Blaine for a volunteer shirt and needed directions and supplies. Expect to receive a volunteer confirmation email with all details, one week prior to the event.

  • Environmental Crew

    This is a Level 1 position: Volunteer Benefits

    Job Description: This team of people will be in charge of the recycling and trash bins at the tournament and some general clean up. Age 12 and up. What to Expect: This position requires a passion for the environment and for a clean community. This position requires moderate physical activity, mostly walking. Check in with Colby Blaine for a volunteer shirt and needed directions and supplies. Expect to receive a volunteer confirmation email with all details, one week prior to the event.

  • Team Check In

    This is a Level 1 position: Volunteer Benefits

    Job Description: You will help teams receive their check in packets, help them with player changes and answer questions. Ages 16 and up please. First half hour is instruction and bag assembly. Details: Check-in will be available at 4:15 pm, please arrive by 4:30 pm. Closer to the event you will get a confirmation email on location and parking. What to Expect: This position requires organization and patience on behalf of the individual. It does not require significant physical labor, but you could be on your feet and moving about for most of the shift. You will be given a volunteer shirt upon arrival.

  • Scoreboard

    This is a Level 1 position: Volunteer Benefits

    Job Description: Volunteers will collect completed score sheets, update tournament brackets, help players and fans find their courts and answer general questions. What to Expect: This position requires strong organizational skills. There is very little physical activity. Check in at the Master Scoreboard upstairs in the main gym for a volunteer shirt and needed directions and supplies. Expect to receive a volunteer confirmation email with all details, one week prior to the event.
